Visit Wineries & Wine Museum, Santorini, Greece
There are quite a few wineries in Santorini located in Megalochori, Pirgos, Perivolos, Kamari, and Firostefani that you can visit on your own or with a tour. The wines are predominantly sweet and are made from grapes that lie in the sun to dry for about two weeks.
The Wine Museum is established in a cave on the ground of Koutsoyannopoulos Winery near the village of Messaria.
Every year in the Archaeological area of Akrotiri, at the end of August, the archaeologists gather the grapes from inside the area and they make their own wine.
