Wooden Tserkvas of Carpathian Region in Poland and Ukraine are a group of wooden Eastern Catholic / Orthodox churches located in Poland and Ukraine which were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013.
The oldest wooden tserkvas in Polish and Ukrainian Carpathians were built in 16th century. These temples are examples of the wooden tserkva architecture of their time. Specifically the forming of the roofing of the nave - using a square-based false domes built in horizontal log construction technique, strengthened with wooden binding joists.
