Incredible views of Tokyo’s skyline abound but perhaps the best is found on the 52nd floor observation deck of the Mori Tower near Roppongi Hills. The Tokyo Government Offices Building also presents incredible vistas from its double towers and observation decks. The world famous Shibuya Crossing, just outside the Shibuya station provides the quintessential Tokyo experience of organized chaos as the lights signal the assembled mass of humanity to scramble toward their destination in organized chaos. Nearby are opportunities for shopping or dining at the Tokyo Food Show. A visit to Daimaru Department Store near the downtown Tokyo station provides insight into the shopping habits of locals with the displays and price tags that can be breathtaking. Other interesting diversions in Tokyo include the ever present Karaoke bars and clubs providing live bands as entertainment. The Tsukiji Fish Market, the largest wholesale fish market in the world, pleasantly surprises visitors with its kinetic auctions of the fresh catch at dawn every day. Travelers find that the Tokyo subway system is one of the cleanest, safest and most efficient in the world and most reliable.
