Count Agostino Pepoli, (1848-1911) scholar, lover of beauty and patron around 1870 built a "turret", a silent refuge for his meditations, ideal meeting point, in those years, of men of culture, artists and the Ugo Antonio Amico, the musicologist Alberto Favara, the archaeologist Antonino Salinas, the minister Nunzio Nasi and others.
