If you plan on visiting Valley of Fire State Park, be sure to make the visitor center your first stop. Here you’ll find exhibits on the geology, ecology, prehistory and history of the park and surrounding region. You can also grab some postcards, books and other souvenirs.
Access:
From the Las Vegas Strip, take I-15 North approximately 35-40 miles to exit 75
Head East toward Valley of Fire/Lake Mead and drive 17 miles to the West Entrance Station
Scenic Route: Take I-15 North to Lake Mead Blvd
Turn Right and head East to Lakeshore Road (NV-166).
Turn Right onto Northshore Drive (NV-167) and follow Northshore to the East entrance to Valley of Fire
TIPS:
The visitor center is open daily, year-round from 8:30am to 4:30pm
Valley of Fire State Park is open daily from sunrise to sunset
Fee required to enter Valley of Fire State Park
Visitor Center provides restrooms, info, first aid, drinking water, telephone and ranger station
