There are two ways to get to the Vancouver Island: air or sea. Most people tend to take a ferry over to the island and there are plenty of ferries that can transport cars as well. If you like to explore the outdoors, you’ll find there’s plenty to do on Vancouver Island such as golfing from one end of the Island to the other, whale watching, scuba diving, kayaking, and fishing (ocean, river and stream). Many people visiting Vancouver Island are headed toward Victoria. The city has the feel of a small town especially since the locals are so friendly, but in fact it’s quite large. Beautiful Victorian-style buildings line the street, although, the street performers (they’re quire good, since they have to audition in order to perform) may distract you from admiring the architecture.
