Visit West Sycamore Staging Area, Mission Trails Regional Park, California

East end of Stonebridge Parkway. This entrance to the West Sycamore area, located north of MCAS MIramar and west of Goodan Ranch, was opened to the public in 2014. Seven miles of trails are available for hiking, mountain biking and horse back riding. The staging area has parking, a porta-potty, and hitching posts for equestrian use. Future amenities include a shade structure, picnic tables and park benches. Directions: From I-15, go east on Pomerado Road and turn right on Stonebridge Parkway. The entrance to West Sycamore is at the very east end of Stonebridge Parkway. From Highway 67 turn west on Scripps Poway Parkway, then left on Pomerado Road, then left on Stonebridge Parkway and continue until it dead ends at the main entrance to West Sycamore. The gates to this park entrance are open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from November 1 through March 31, and 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from April 1 through October 31.
