Cross Kaibab Suspension Bridge (Black Bridge), Grand Canyon National Park
Kaibab Suspension Bridge crosses the Colorado River and connects the North Kaibab Trail and North Kaibab Trail in Grand Canyon National Park. The South Kaibab Trail crosses the Colorado River on this narrow foot bridge 440 feet/ 134 m across and 70 feet/ 21 m above the water. Access to Bright Angel Campground and Phantom Ranch is via this bridge, built in 1928.
Grand Canyon river trips pull in here to obtain drinking water and to exchange passengers. Phantom Ranch is a 1/2 mile (.81 km) walk up Bright Angel Creek.
