Go Whale Watching off Olympic National Park, Washington

The best time to see whales migrating along the coast of Olympic National Park is during the spring (April-May) and fall (October-November). Specifically, gray whales are most frequently observed during these periods as they migrate between their feeding grounds in the Arctic and breeding grounds in Baja California. While gray whales are the most commonly seen, you might also spot orcas (killer whales) and humpback whales, especially during the summer and fall months. The best viewing is from Kalaloch, Rialto, and Shi Shi Beaches are excellent spots for whale watching within Olympic National Park. Other good viewing locations include Neah Bay, La Push, and the Destruction Island Viewpoint.
