Wine Taste at Vinícola Emevé, Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California
Vinícola Emeve is the creation of Mexican businessman Mario Villarreal. His daughter, Laura, manages the winery, and winemaker/enologist Reynaldo Rodriguez (an Ensenada native who received his formal training in Spain) heads the winery.
Try “Armonía de Tintos”, a mix of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz with ripe dark fruit finish with notes of tobacco and vanilla from aging in French oak. Also try Los Nietos, which is a mix of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot showcasing rich red fruit aged in French oak for 14 months.
Vinicola Emeve produces more than 3,000 cases/year.
