Wine Taste at Quinta Monasterio, Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California

Quinta Monasterio Winery on the Valle De Guadalupe's Ruta del Vino. Winemaker Reynaldo Sr. , his son Reynaldo Rodriguez Jr., joined forces with Ronald Duhl to produce these outstanding wines. Their El Porvenir area property had a rich history of producing grapes for acclaimed labels such as Domecq and L.A. Cetto, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Shiraz, Tempranillo and Zinfandel. Quinta Monasterio's name honors the Spanish missionaries who first brought knowledge of wine production to Mexico. The gift shop has some unique soaps and other sundries. The winery was founded in 2006 and produces around 4,000 cases/year.
