The Cousiño Macul Vineyard is the only one of the Chilean vineyards founded in the 19th century, being one of the traditional vineyards located in the Maipo Valley. It was founded in 1856.
Cousiño is the family's last name and Viña continues after six generations in his hands. For his part, Macul in Mapudungun means 'right hand'.
With a current production of 250,000 boxes produced, vinified and bottled at source, which still holds 100% of its ownership in the hands of the founding family.
