Explore Wolf Island Provincial Park, Trent Lakes, Ontario

The main portion of Wolf Island Provincial Park is an island between Lower Buckhorn and Lovesick Lakes, some 35 km north of Peterborough via Highway 28. There is no road access. Access is by boat only. The northern mainland part of the park does not have any public access points with exception by boat. Visitors may park and launch a boat from Lock #28 in Burleigh Falls (fees may be applicable). Wolf Island is west of the launch approximately 5km. This route will allow you east side access to the park. To access the western side by boat is to travel through Lock # 30. This is a non-operating park. There are no activities or facilities at this park. Existing crown land campsites, with only some interconnected by trails, are present. For safety reasons, swimming is prohibited near the locks and dams of the nearby Trent-Severn Waterway.
