Wreck Dive I-169 Submarine "Shinohara", Chuuk Lagoon, Micronesia
The I-169 wasn't sunk during the raid. It sank on the 4th April that year. An air raid alarm was raised, and the sub dived, but deck hatches and valves had not been closed. The submarine flooded and sank with the crew trapped on board.
Map location is only an approximate location of the wreck.
