Dragon’s Mouth Spring is in Yellowstone’s Mud Volcano Group, on the western side of the Yellowstone River, north of Yellowstone Lake. Water and steam surge from a large, cave-like opening. In 1998, researchers measured the water here at 155° Fahrenheit (= 68.5° Celsius), with a pH of 5.4. The water temperature has not remained stable over recent decades.
