Day 1: Arrival in Rajkot and drive to Gir National Park

Pass By: Gir Birding Lodge, Next to Gate no.2 Bambohod Check Post, Gir National Park, Sasan Gir, Gujarat 362135, India
You will be picked up from your hotel in Rajkot and driven to Gir National Park situated about 100 miles from Rajkot. The drive to Gir National Park takes around 3 hours. Upon arrival in Gir, check in at your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Gir Jungle Safari

Stop At: Sasan Gir National Park, Sinh Sadan Gir Somnath District Sasan Road, Sasan Gir, Gir National Park 362135 India
Enjoy a jungle safari in the morning and in the afternoon.

Gir National Park is the only place in the world outside Africa, where the lion can be seen in its natural habitat. The forest is also home to a variety of smaller animals and birds. Other predators are Panthers and the Hyena. The Indian Deer, Sambar Deer, Spotted Deer, Blue Bull, Chinkara and the Chousingha (four horned antelope) are found here, along with Bears and the long tailed Langur.
