Your English-speaking tour guide will greet you at your Yangshuo hotel before escorting you to your 9am Chinese culture lesson. Choose between cooking, Chinese language, tai chi, painting, and calligraphy: most of these lessons last 60-90 minutes but the cooking class takes two to three hours. (If you opt for tai chi, you can choose to learn local-style on the river bank or in a local park.)
Next, you'll collect your bike and spend the rest of the day riding through the dramatic karst scenery around Yangshuo. First, pedal along the bank of the River Li to the pretty traditional village of Dutou: here you'll catch the ferry to another historic village, Fuli. After exploring Fuli, ride the ferry back to Dutou and cycle on to Liugong, where you can admire the waterfront pavilion.
Your guide will give you ideas and recommendations for an authentic Chinese lunch, which is at your own expense. After lunch, you'll continue your bike ride back to Yangshuo. When the cycling tour ends, generally around 5pm, you'll be transferred back to your hotel.
