Itinerary

Day 1: Addis abeba

Stop At: Addis Mercato, Kenya St, Addis Ababa null Ethiopia
Visit the Ethnographic Museum,  Mercato, one of Africa's largest outdoor markets, and Trinity Cathedral, resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie

Day 2: Bahir Dar

Pass By: Lake Tana, Ground floor from Blue Nile Hotel, Bahir Dar 6000 Ethiopia
Bahar Dar Fly to Bahar Dar , Take a boat tour on Lake Tana, the source of the Blue Nile, and tour ancient island monasteries.

Day 3: Day 3

Stop At: Fasil Ghebbi, Gonder Ethiopia
- Gondar Drive through the countryside to Gondar. Tour the Royal Enclosure, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring five castles . Visit the church of Debre Birhan Selassie .

Day 4: Debark

Stop At: Simien Mountains National Park, Ethiopia
Simien Mountains National Park Drive to Sankabar the gateway to the Simien Mountains National Park . Enjoy some light hiking in the afternoon in the park.

Day 5: Axum

Stop At: The Ruins of Aksum, Axum Ethiopia
5 Simien Mountains - AxumTake a scenic drive to Axum, Frequent stops at viewpoints along the way. Arrive in Axum late afternoon.

Day 6: Axum

Stop At: Northern Stelae Field, Near St Mary of Zion Church, Axum Ethiopia
Axum Tour the ancient stelae fields Visit the new and impressive Archeological Museum. Visit other tombs and archeological sites as time permits.

Day 7: Axum - Hawzein

Stop At: Abuna Yemata Guh church, Hawzen Ethiopia
Axum - Hawzein Drive to the Hawzein passing the Adwa battlefield, Visit the old ruins of Yeha, an ancient moon temple. Continue past Adigrat and visit Petros Paulos and other Tigray church .

Day 8: 8 Hawzein - Mekele

Stop At: Gheralta Rock, Hawzen Mekele, Mek'ele Ethiopia
Hawzein - Mekele Visit Abraha Atsbeha, dating from the 10th century; the beautiful Wukro Chirkos; and Medhane Alem Kesho.
Duration: 3 hours

Day 9: Mekele - Ahmedela

Stop At: Erta Ale, 6611 Ethiopia
Mekele - Ahmedela Meet support vehicles and drive to Ahmedela via Berhaile. Make camp, and see camel caravans passing against a backdrop of dramatic sunset

Day 10: Excursions to Lake Asale

Stop At: Erta Ale, 6611 Ethiopia
Excursions to Lake Asale and Dalol Visit Lake Asale and watch the salt workers as they cut bricks of salt from the lake bed. Proceed to Dalol and view the dramatic and colorful geological formations caused by the hot springs rich in sulfur, potash

Day 11: Trek to Erta

Stop At: Erta Ale, 6611 Ethiopia
All Drive to Dodom Trek to Erta . Trek 15 kilometers to the Erta Alle volcano lake . Arrive at Erta Alle around midnight and walk to see the spectacular volcanic eruption. Set up camp and rest.

Day 12: Return to Mekele

Stop At: Emperor Yohannes IV Palace, Zesilasea Square, Mek'ele Ethiopia
Return to Mekele Return trek to Dodom. Drive to Mekele

Day 13: 13 Mekele - Lalibela

Stop At: Church of St. George, Lalibela Ethiopia
Mekele - Lalibela Drive on a scenic road to Lalibela. Arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy the sunset from the terrace

Day 14: Lalibela Tour

Stop At: Rock-Hewn Churches of Lalibela, Lalibela 1260 Ethiopia
Lalibela Tour , A group of eleven monolithic and semi-monolithic structures were carved directly into the stone of the mountainside at least 800 years ago.
Duration: 30 minutes

Day 15: Lalibela - Addis Abeba

Lalibela - Addis Abeba Enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant featuring dancers and musicians representing some of the country's many ethnic groups. Transfer to airport for late night departure .
