Itinerary

Your Skydive Wanaka adventure begins when you arrive at our drop zone, located 10 minutes from Central Wanaka at the Wanaka Airport.  All equipment is provided, so just bring a big smile, as well as warm and comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. Once you are at the drop zone you will be greeted by our friendly staff that will help to get you checked in, geared up and ready to meet your tandem master.

When you have met your 'beautiful stranger' you will head off to the plane and take a 20-minute scenic flight to altitude. As you fly over the Southern Alps your instructor will point out Mt. Cook, Mt. Aspiring, the Southern Alps, up to 6 lakes and the Clutha River. At altitude the door of the plane will open and this is where the fun begins.

"Freefall feels like flying," so make sure you keep your eyes open, and capture your thrilling moments whilst reaching speeds of up to 125 miles per hour (200 kilometres per hour). After up to 60-seconds your parachute will open and you will get the chance to take in the views as you gently fly back down to the landing area.

Once on the ground, celebrate your achievement while you await your edited video and photos.
