Apsan Park is conveniently located within 4.5km of downtown Daegu, making it an ideal place to visit on a sunny afternoon. The name Aspan is derived from the Korean word ‘Ap,’ which means ‘in front of.’ Thus, being located in front of the city of Daegu, the park was named Apsan. Here, after a ride on a cable car, you can enjoy views of downtown Daegu and Mt.Palgongsan at a glance from the observatory built on the top of Mt.Apsan.

Starting with Cheongna Hill, you will go on a street tour of Daegu Modern Cultural Street.
Cheongna Hill - It's a place that is silent yet beautiful with its unusual scenery, and it was the base of Christianity when it first tried to take root and settle in the community of Daegu. The residence for the Christian missionary 100 years ago still stands, which was converted to a museum of medical and missionary works.
Mulberry Street (Du Sa-chung) - It will take you through a neat road filled with beautiful murals. This street tales related to Du Sa-chung are painted on the walls.

The Daegu Gyesan-dong Church was designed and built under the direction of Father A.P. Robert but was burnt down within the following year. It was completely rebuilt in 1902. It is the only building in Daegu that retains its early 20th-century appearance. It generally follows a Romanesque design, but it has some Gothic elements, including spires and stained-glass windows.

The market’s present form was created in 1920. The name of the market means “West Gate” and refers to the market’s location adjacent to the former west gate of Daegu Castle. It is the city’s largest street market with about 4,000 stalls and shops.
