2 Day - Longji Rice Terraces - Sunrise Hiking Tour

The Longji Rice terraces are certainly a spectacle to behold. Countless terraces roll down from the top of the mountains filled with waves of rice. Either fresh buds giving a luminescent crisp green. Or near the end of the season beautiful golden hues. Even when the rice is gone the steps can still look glorious. And just after they have been filled for planting the terraces turn into mirrors reflecting the sky’s above.

Itinerary

Day 1: Journey To the Terraces - Pingan / Dazhai Village

Stop At: Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces, 80 kilometers from Guilin, Longsheng County 541701 China
After collecting you from your arrival point (Hotel/Airport/Train Station) we will take you by private car to the Longji Rice Terraces, Pass through the entrance area and Visit the Long hair Village *Optional* before continuing on to Ping An / Dazhai Village (dependent on your Accommodation), On Arrival we will have a light lunch at a restaurant then spending the rest of the afternoon visiting various Viewpoints, hiking in the area, Whilst talking about the local culture and the minorities that make the area so famous. We conclude our first day with local specialty dinner at a restaurant of your choice.

Day 2: Cross Terrace Hike - Return from Terraces

Stop At: Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces, 80 kilometers from Guilin, Longsheng County 541701 China
Dependent on your preference we can rise early to watch the sun come up over the terraces, Or after a relaxed breakfast, Start our hike between Ping'An and Da'Zhai (around 4 hours). This is a beautiful route running along various trails with stunning views through out. We can either stop along the trail for lunch at a local farmers home or continue through and have lunch at the end of the hike. After a rest we will return by minibus/car to our starting village and depart the terraces
