Day 1: Kigali city tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
This tour starts with an early morning pickup by our company representative from either a hotel / Kigali International Airport for a transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Musanze province. On your way, engage in a Kigali City Tour taking you through Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site before proceeding with your drive to the park. On arrival, proceed to your lodge check in; dine and rest for overnight at The Garden Place(Budget), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/ Davinci Gorilla Lodge(Midrange) and Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/ Five Volcanoes Gorilla Lodge(Luxury)

The Kigali Genocide Memorial commemorates the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The remains of over 250,000 people are interred there. There is a visitor centre for students and those wishing to understand the events leading up to the genocide of 1994.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trek in the Volcanoes National Park

What is gorilla trekking?
The experience is all about getting up close with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. Gorilla trekking entails all day search and interaction for mountain gorillas. The encounter is reviewed as magical and the most wonderful wildlife experience in the world.
• What are the trekking rues and regulations?
At the start of each gorilla trekking day, travelers are introduced to gorilla trekking rules and regulations to ensure safety of the endangered gorillas and travelers in the jungle. The do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking include
1. Keep a distance of seven meters away from Gorilla Trekking Rules and regulations
2. Do not trek gorillas when sick
3. Do not throw rubbish in the jungle
4. Keep within your groups
5. Speak at low tone
6. Do not touch the gorillas
7. Avoid direct eye contact with gorillas’
8. Avoid flash light cameras
