Day 1: Kuala Lumpur - Rainforest Taman Negara (Recommended hotel: Mutiara Resort )
Stop At: Batu Caves, Batu Caves, Selangor
The iconic Batu Caves is a limestone outcrop with caves. Climb 272 steps into the Cave temple of Hindu Deity honored during Hindu festival of "Thaipusam", Devotees give thanks for vows fulfilled. Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple - knees and shoulders to be covered. The 140 feet Statue of the Deity is mesmerizing.

Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest with endangered animals as in Tigers, Elephants, Tapirs and 14,000 plants, 300 bird species....
7.00 am - 7.30 am Complimentary pick up from your Kuala Lumpur hotel and visit Batu Caves. Continue journey and on arrival at Kuala Tahan, Taman Negara lunch at Floating Cafe and walk up the Canopy Walkway to see the world's oldest rainforest. (Wednesdays Canopy closed). The boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids to reach an aborigine village to watch fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques. Nature Guide will belt out facts and taboos of Taman Negara during trekking. He will talk on medicinal and poisonous plants. You may ask him of Aphrodisiacs ! Check in to hotel. Free and easy. Dinner at Floating Cafe and Night Jungle walk with Nature Guide to look for mouse deer, wild boar, scorpions etc and watch nocturnal animals come for their salt lick. Nature guide lives in Taman Negara.

Day 2: RAINFOREST TAMAN NEGARA - KUALA LUMPUR (Recommended hotel: Park Royal)
Stop At: Kuala Tahan, Kuala Tahan, Jerantut District, Pahang
8.00 am After breakfast take the Long Trek to Lata Berkoh - the Cascading Waterfalls. Trekking would take about 5 hours (you must be physically fit) to visit the jewel of Taman Negara - Lata Berkoh. Rescue could be done for tired legs with the Forestry boats. Nature is at its best in all its glory with huge trees forming arches with branches kissing the rapid streams. If you are lucky you may see horn bills, monkeys, kingfishers, fish eagle that come crashing on the crown shy canopy above.
Relax and enjoy the swim and wallow as the mountain fresh waters caress your skin. The Rocky areas of the Cascades is safe. The pool proper is not safe due to under currents. Packed lunch served.
Take a boat downstream and visit the Kelah Fish Sanctuary. Kingfishers, fish eagles come crashing for the fish, so also the horn bills. Refresh and return to Kuala Lumpur arriving approx. 8pm.
