3 Day Iquitos Jungle Adventure at Muyuna Lodge

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Stop At: Iquitos, Iquitos, Loreto Region
Arrival in the city of Iquitos, assistance and transfer to the pier to head to the lodge. We will sail down the Amazon River, the largest river in the world by volume, and witness the magnificence of the river, the lush rainforest and the picturesque riverside villages. Arrival and accommodation at the lodge. After lunch, we will visit Lakes Sapote and Moenas, where we will observe various birds as parrots, macaws, wattled jacanas, herons, horneros, among others. Later, we will go on a night excursion to discover the mysterious nocturnal rainforest life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Munuya Lodge and Juanachi Lake

Stop At: Muyuna Lodge, PP28+JW Paraíso, Iquitos 16310, Peru
We will hike to Lake Leoncito, where the world’s smallest monkey, the saddle-back tamarind, will surprise us. We will also have the opportunity to observe one of Amazonian largest trees, the Ceiba. After lunch, we will visit the Lakes Corriente and Purura, where we can catch different fish species, including the famous piranha. Later, we will go again on another night walk in search of giant toads and frogs. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Muyuna Lodge and Departure

Stop At: Muyuna Lodge, PP28+JW Paraíso, Iquitos 16310, Peru
We will sail down the Amazon River to see the pink and gray dolphins. Going back to the lodge, we will observe the world's largest aquatic plant, the famous Victoria Regia. Buffet lunch. At arranged time, transfer to the airport to board your departure flight.
