3-Day Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve

We invite you to the warm lands of the Peruvian jungle, navigating the waters of the largest river in the world, the Amazon, habitat of ancestral villages and the curious pink dolphin.

Itinerary

Day 1: DAY 1: IQUITOS | INC: - L/D

Stop At: Plaza de Armas de Iquitos, Iquitos Peru
DAY 1: IQUITOS | INC: - L/D.

In the morning, reception at the airport and transfer to the pier (During the transfer, brief orientation of the main tourist attractions of Iquitos City). We will board to navigate the Amazon River, the largest river in the world by volume, and witness the magnificence of the river, the lush rainforest and the picturesque riverside villages. Arrival and accommodation at the lodge. In the afternoon, we will go for a hike through the resting forest to learn more about the flora and fauna. Visit to the local naturist who will explain about the wonderful healing properties and the use to which they are some plants and roots.

Later, we will go on a night walk to discover the mysterious nocturnal world of the rainforest. Likewise distinguish the edges of the Owls and the "Ayaymamas". Overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: DAY 2: IQUITOS | INC: B/L/D

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Saint Tomas # 410 San Juan Bautista Distrit, 00512 Peru
DAY 2: IQUITOS | INC: B/L/D.

Birds observation during the early hours of the morning (before 06:00 hours). Return to the Lodge for breakfast. Transfer by boat to the opposite end of the Amazon. On the way we will have the opportunity to observe the wonderful river dolphins, protagonists of stories and legends of the mythology of the Amazon. In the afternoon, we will continue with the observation of plants and will be practicing fishing using native techniques to capture piranhas, mojarras and other fish species for human consumption. Overnight at the lodge.

In the morning, birds observation and visit to a riparian community. Lunch and transfer to the airport to take the flight departure.
