3 Days Selous Game Reserve Safari

Selous Game Reserve is the largest wildlife area in Africa. A UNISECO World Heritage site, this pristine uninhabited area is larger than Switzerland. Selous boasts Tanzania’s largest population of elephant as large numbers of lion, leopard, African hunting dog, buffalo and hippo. The Rufiji River is teeming with hippo and crocodile, and the birdlife is fantastic. Lion sightings are very common as the opportunistic creatures tend to laze around the lakes waiting for animals coming to drink. One of the attractions of the park is the chance to encounter wild dog. It is ideal for game drives, walking safari and cultural tours

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Dar to Selous Game Reserve

Pass By: Selous Game Reserve, Selous Game Reserve, Lindi Region
Your will be picked up by our guide from the airport and start driving to Selous Game Reserve that covers 150 km of tarmac road and 200 km of rough road. You will stop for lunch on the way to check in at your lodge. In the evening you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay for night

Day 2: Full day game drive in Selous Game Reserve

Stop At: Selous Game Reserve, Selous Game Reserve, Lindi Region
You will have early breakfast and start your morning with walking safari which is perfect activity to experience African bush in close-up for 2 hours. After Walking Safari, you will go for game drive where you will spot Tanzania’s largest population of elephant as well numbers of lion, leopard, African hunting dog, buffalo and hippo. Species commonly seen are bushbuck, red and blue duikers, eland, hartebeest, hyena, klipspringer, impala, giraffe, Oryx, reedbuck, waterbuck and zebra. In the evening you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay for night

Day 3: Transfer from Selous Game Reserve to Dar es Salaam

Pass By: Selous Game Reserve, Selous Game Reserve, Lindi Region
After early morning breakfast you will pack up and proceed with your morning game drive in the park and later on exit the reserve and start driving back to Dar es Salaam where you will be dropped at the Airport or Hotel.
