Day 1: Dakar-pink lake-lampoul desert
Stop At: Lompoul Desert, Dakar Senegal
After breakfast, leave Dakar for a 1-hour drive to the pink lake, an important center for salt collection. On arrival, observe how salt diggers harvest the salt from the Lake and women pile it up. Grab something for lunch before continuing with your excursion to the Lompoul desert. At your details upon, board a 4WD to the middle of the desert. Enjoy a great experience of the Lompoul desert as you will have dinner watching traditional ballet performing Jembe drums involving singing and dancing around the camp fire enjoying the constellations. There will be a possibility of a camel ride. This will be a lifetime experience.

Day 2: Lompoul – Saint Louis
Stop At: Saint-Louis, Saint-Louis, Saint-Louis Region
Wake up for a 2-hour drive to the old city of Saint Louis, the former capital of Senegal. Explore the town on a horse-drawn carriage. The city reminds you of New Orleans with a wooden balcony align at the narrow streets. Stop at the village of Guer Ndar before returning to your hotel.

Day 3: Saint Louis – Djoudj Park or “Langue de Barbarie – Dakar
Stop At: Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, North of St. Louis, Saint-Louis Senegal
Spend the day with a visit to the Djoudj National Bird Park. It was one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the world. Located at the significant Palearctic migratory route and is a paradise for bird enthousiasts, the world’s highest concentration of white flamingos, various songbirds and more. You will also see crocodiles, boas, boars, and other wildlife.
From June to October, the Djoudj Park is closed due to unbearable reasons. However, if you travel at that time, the Park experience will be replaced by a cruise on “Langue de Barbarie. It is a narrow peninsular separating Atlantic Ocean and Senegal River where you can watch river birds and several species of turtles including the endangered Hawksbill sea turtle. At noon return to Dakar. End of our services.
