Itinerary

Day 1: Almaty city - Baschy village - Altyn Emel National park (Aktau chalk mountains)

Stop At: Aktau Mountains, State National Park Altyn-Emel Kazakhstan
We will start our trip in the morning to reach Baschy village at noon. Baschy village is a base point for both natural sights of Altyn-Emel park. After a nice lunch at the guest house we will visit colorful Aktau chalk mountains in the Altyn Emel National Park.

Scientists argue that this place was the bottom of ancient Tetis ocean. And you can really believe it. Astonishing picturesque landscapes look like other planets' surfaces. Different mountains of all bright colors are presented here. From snow white to saturated red. There is a path along the bottom of dry river which you can walk deep in the gorge.

Day 2: Altyn Emel National park (Singing Dune) - Charyn Canyon - Saty village

Stop At: Singing Barkhan, National Park Altyn Emel Kazakhstan
This place is a natural phenomenon. In the middle of the steppe there is a huge sand dune. It looks like somebody moved it from Sahara desert to Almaty surroundings. And when people slide down the dune it really sings! You will have free time to hike the dune and enjoy local natural beauty.

On the way there is a chance to see animals which inhabit this reserve area. Many of them are in the Red List. Mountain sheep, gazelle, Przewalski's horse, saiga, stork, golden eagle, crane, etc.

Stop At: Charyn National Park, Kazakhstan
On the way to the Saty village we will stop at the panoramic view of Black Canyon, part of the Charyn Canyon. You will observe fast Charyn River flowing deep in between the high stone walls of the canyon.

Day 3: Saty village - Kolsay Lakes 1&2

Stop At: Kolsai Lake, Kazakhstan
After nice breakfast at the local guest house or hotel we will move to Kolsay Lakes. Astonishing mountain lakes with pristine water admire any visitor. You will have free time to relax and enjoy this place. Kolsay lakes are the chain of 3 mountain lakes separated by coniferous forests and fast rivers. There is a beautiful mountain trail with amazing views which connects them. You may hike through coniferous mountain forests, alpine flower fields, fast rivers to the second Kolsay lake. Also, boats and horse riding activities available.

Day 4: Saty village - Lake Kaindy - Charyn Canyon - Almaty city

Stop At: Lake Kaindy, Saty Kazakhstan
On the last day of the tour we will go to the Kaindy lake. This is one of the most unique lakes in the world with ancient spruces that rise above the water surface. Formed as a result of the earthquake in 1911 this place became such a delightful phenomenon. The water in the lake changes its colors depending on the season. All of them are just amazing. From transparent light blue to rich emerald green.
