The BinglingsI Grottoes is a important Buddhism area in Linxia city,the Yellow River goes into Bingling Gorge where the most attractive scenic spot -- Bingling Temple Grotto is situated. Labrang Lamasery, one of the six main lamaseries of the Yellow Sect of Buddhism and the largest Lamaism institute in the world with a large collection of scriptures volumes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Lanzhou

Pass By: Lanzhou, Lanzhou, Gansu
Your private tour guide will meet you at the arriving hall of Lanzhou airport or the exit of the high speed train station. Transfer to the downtown, visit the Iron Bridge, White Pagoda Hill, Water Wheel Garden along the Yellow River.

Day 2: Binglingsi Grottoes

Pass By: Binglingsi, China, Gansu, Tianshui Shi, Qinzhou Qu, Zaojiao Rd, 玉泉镇冰凌寺村
Transfer to Binglingsi Grottoes, we will by boat on the yellow for 30 minutes to the grottoes It has been 1600 years since the Lower Temple was established in the Western Qin Dynasty (385-431) of the Sixteen States period (304-439). Nowadays, there are 216 grotto shrines, 815 figures of Buddha and 1,000 square meters mural. On the way to Xiahe, you will pass Moslem area to visit Moslem markets and Mosques, passing through terraced fields and Tibetan villages.

Day 3: Labrang Lamasery

Pass By: Xiahe County, Xiahe County, Gansu
Visit Labrang Lamasery, one of the six main lamaseries of the Yellow Sect of Buddhism and the largest Lamaism institute in the world with a large collection of scriptures volumes. The site of Labrang Lamasery is named Xiahe which is often referred to as “ Little Tibet ”. In the afternoon visit the Old Octagonal Town, it was initially established in 1st century AD. The Tibetan and Han people live in this town from the ancient until today, let’s visit a local Tibetan family in this town, and tasty the Tibetan food, yogurt, Zangba and milk tea.

Day 4: Return back to Lanzhou.

Get up early, join in the local people’s praying, circling the whole temple, it will take about an hour to walk. Then, go back to the hotel enjoy the breakfast.By bus back to Lanzhou.
