5 Days Balthali Village Homestay Community Hike

Balthali is a small, sleepy yet admiring village which rests at the junction of Roshi and Ladku Khola river. It stands on the plateau which is just beyond Khopasi, 40km away from Kathmandu.

We can reach the resort after an hour’s walk from Khopasi, till where we can drive. If you walk from Panauti, it will take about two hours to reach Balthali. There is a beautiful resort in Balthali from you can observe great mountain views in the north attractive spans of the Terai plains in the south.

Balthali is a place where you can mainly find Newar tribes of people who have kept their traditions and way of life for several generations. You can live here with a completely local family where you will have an opportunity to observe their day-to-day activities and share moments with them.

There are numbers of excellent short and long hikes inside Panauti Valley that takes you to explore many religious sites such as NamoBuddha, Indreshwar Mahadev and Brahmayani, etc.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Stop At: Tribhuvan International Airport, Ring Rd, काठमाडौँ 44600, Nepal
Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International Airport. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle.
Duration: 1 hour

Meals included:
• Breakfast: Hotel provided buffet style breakfast
Accommodation included: Overnight at a standard 3-star Boutique Hotel, Dom Himalaya Hotel or in other similar property in Thamel.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Panauti and trek to Balthali

Stop At: Sabina's Homestay, Balthali, Post Box: 3632, Panauti 45209, Nepal
We take an early morning ride to Panauti through Roshi and Ladku river. Then we trek to Balthali Village for an hour through the lush green forests, layered rice terrains. Overnight at Balthali. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

Day 3: Visit around Balthali and hike to Namo Buddha

Stop At: Namo Buddha (Stupa), Kathmandu Nepal
Today, we take breakfast at Balthali and walk around the village to watch-out daily activities of the inhabitants. After lunch, we hike to NamoBuddha hill which is known as the reincarnation of Lord Buddha. This place also offers the finest panoramic view of Panauti Village. Overnight at a local homestay at Namo Buddha. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

Day 4: Trek to Dhulikhel and drive to Kathmandu

Stop At: Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Today, we trek to Dhulikhel passing Kavre Bhanjyang. We hike to the hilltop of Dhulikhel where a giant statue of Lord Buddha is placed. We will enjoy the scenery around Dhulikhel for some time and have our lunch and head back to Kathmandu on a private vehicle.

Day 5: Farewell
