Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire national park
Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
After breakfast your driver/guide, will be ready there to pick you head into the Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. We eat lunch at picnic after which we continue with game until late evening, then drive to the accommodation for overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti
Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. until sun set.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park Tour
Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast continue with game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible Lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. In the afternoon we will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees or hot lunch at the lodge. After lunch, we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink! If you booked for a hot balloon this will be the day to ride.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Stop At: Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
After an early coffee you will head out for game drive in the Serengeti. You might be able to spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – before embarking on your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering you an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day – glistening streams, open grassland and an infinite amount of animals. You will spend the night at Simba campsite directly on the crater’s edge with the orange glow of sunset surrounding you as you drift off to sleep

Day 5: Ngorongoro to Arusha
Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Early risers are rewarded with breath-taking views of the rising sun over the crater’s edge and, after a hearty breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO world heritage site, one of the seven wonders of Africa and most incredible ecosystems on Earth, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano, is 610 m deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometres. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25 000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In matter of minutes you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass.
After lunch you will ascend the steep walls of the crater and head to Arusha an overnight stay.
