Day 1: Reception and transfer to the Hotel – Merida City Tour.

Reception and transfer to the Hotel

Stop At: Hotel El Conquistador, Paseo de Montejo 458, Zona Paseo Montejo, Centro, 97000 Mérida, Yuc., Mexico
We will discover Merida, founded on January 6, 1542 by the Spanish Francisco de Montejo, but the Mayas already had built a great city known as T’ho, long before the Spanish Colonization, the stones used in this ancient city were used to build the Cathedral located at the Zocalo where you could find the Montejo House, the Government Palace and the Municipal Palace. Merida, the White City with its main avenue “Paseo por Montejo”, which has beautiful colonial buildings, as the Canton Palace and the impressive “Monumento a la Patria” among other magnificent places. Day 2: Uxmal and Kabah Archaeological Zone.

Stop At: Uxmal, Muna Mexico
Located 80 km from Merida, this zone shows what the Puuc Art have built in the parallelepiped forms of its buildings, with smooth walls and ornate friezes, a great part of the buildings in Uxmal belong to the Classic Mayan period, and some other to the middle late phase, Chaac is represented in multiple buildings, in the Palaces of the Governor, quadrangle of the nuns, The temple of the fortune teller, among others.

In Kabah we could find a quadrangle called Codz-pop what means “petate enrollado”, the arch, Chaac’s Masks, the Temple of the Columns and The Witch’s House.

Day 3: Chichen Itza Archaeological Zone Tour

Stop At: Merida, Chichen Itza 97751 Mexico
Dated with approximately 553 years old, this famous Mayan Pyramids are located between hour and half of distance. The name of Chichen Itza is derived by the Mayan words “Chi” mouth “Chen” Hole, “Itza” The name of the region. This site is divided in three areas, the north group (Toltec), central group (the early period) and the known as El Viejo Chichen (The old Chichen). We will be visiting the first two groups.
