5 Days Kakani Village Homestay Hike

Kakani Village is famous for bird watching, trout fish-farming and for its amazing Himalayan view. Just an hour scenic drive towards the north of Kathmandu Valley takes us to Kakani Village, which is situated at an altitude of 2073m.

Kakani Village is truly an ideal place to explore the typical Nepali village lifestyle, people and culture. During the spring season, the forests at the hillside will be covered by vibrant colors of rhododendron flowers, maple, orchids, and appealing coniferous pine forests. The magnificent views of mountain ranges stretching from Annapurna to Everest, via Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Gaurishankar and Dorje Lakpa at the northern highlands makes this place absolutely a precious treasure to gaze over the Himalayan sunrise and sunset view from Kakani Hill tower.

The sense of visiting is the place is slower and quieter devoid of distractions. If you love strawberries, Kakani is the right choice for you. Every year Kakani produces 250,000 kg of strawberries.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Stop At: Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International Airport. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Kakani

Stop At: Nuwakot Durbar, Nuwakot Palace, Nuwakot Nepal
We take an early morning scenic ride to Kakani lies towards the north of Kathmandu Valley through experiencing the fresh air coming from blankets folds of floras residing hilltop. You will be invited to live in one of the homestays and will be served one of their favorite dishes. After lunch, we hike around the typical village and watch out daily activities of typical inhabitants. Overnight at local homestay at Kakani. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

Day 3: Kakani to Shivapuri

Stop At: Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, North Side of Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu 00977 Nepal
After breakfast, we will hike to Aledanda along the ridge of Shivapuri National Park area and watch out the lush green forests full of diversified birds and flowers. The Kakani Hill Tower offers magnificent views of Manaslu, Annapurna, Everest, and Gaurishankar. Overnight at a local homestay. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

Day 4: Shivapuri to Kathmandu and Valley Sightseeing

Stop At: Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
We drive back to Kathmandu. On this day, we will visit two World Heritage listed sites Swoyambhunath, and Pashupatinath. Overnight at a standard 3-star hotel in Kathmandu. Breakfast is included.

Day 5: Farewell
