7 Day Short Trek to Everest

This trek offers you a chance to view world’s highest peak up-close. You begin our hike to the Everest base camp with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla equipped with all necessary permits and trekking gears. This 7- day Everest Base Camp Trek is perfect option for trekkers who are pressed for time.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (Altitude 1400 m)

Today is the day of arrival. A representative from Nepal Big Mountain will pick you and transfer to hotel. During afternoon, you will meet trek leader and team member which is good time to clear your queries. You can enjoy welcome dinner later at late evening. You can taste cultural dinner of Nepal.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, 8 KM trek to Phakding (2,651 m)

You wake up early in the morning and be ready to fly to Lukla. 40-minute flight will take you to Lukla. Travelling Lukla, you will get to view mind blowing view of hillside and beautiful peaks. Our trek will begin from Lukla. You will descent towards Chheplung village. From there, you will be able to have a glimpse of a scared mountain, Mt. Khumbila. Then you keep on walking until you reach Phakding.

Day 03: 11 KM trek to Namche Bazaar (3,438 m)

After breakfast, you start the journey. You proceed through the trail north up the valley of Benkar You cross mesmerizing pine tree forest and Dudh Koshi River and then pass Chumoa to reach Monjo, the entrance to Everest National Park. You will experience crossing a suspension bridge and you pass to Jorsale village. Furthermore, you walk alongside of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. A steep ascent bring you to the prime heart land of Sherpa village – Namche Bazaar. At one hour’s distance to reaching Namche Bazaar, if the weather favors, you can also have a sight of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse.

Day 04: Namche Bazaar – Day Hike (3,440 m)

After breakfast, you spend your day at Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazar is the center place of the Khumbu region. It is beautiful small market where you find government offices, shops ATMs, Internet cafes, and restaurants. You hike to Everest View Hotel from where you can view Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on. You get to experience traditional life of Sherpas, enjoy flora and fauna found at such high altitude.

Day 5: 19 KM trek to Lukla (2,860 m)

You descend downward cautiously on the steep trail and the rocky terrain. You cross the suspension bridge over the fast flowing Dudh Koshi and its tributaries. You reach Lukla where you can take rest and relax.

Day 6: Fly to Kathmandu

You wake up early in the morning and fly to Kathmandu. You can take rest if you want. Our guide can help you to go other places of Kathmandu. At late evening, you have a farewell dinner and relax after long journey.

Day 7: Departure Day

Our representative will drop you to the airport.
