7 Day Tour Explore The UNESCO Sites Arrival at Rinas or Tirana

This 7 day tour aims to present Albanian cities/sites and objects, which fall under UNESCO protection. Albania counts several cities and objects that are part of our cultural heritage, so the value of this particular tour is of great cultural and archaeological importance.

During the 7 day tour, you will explore the fabulous town of Berat (known as the city of the THOUSAND AND ONE WINDOWS), and Gjirokastra, the stone town that still fanatically fosters the tradition and culture of the country.

You will also explore the ancient city of Butrint, which was proclaimed a museum in 1961, and in 1992 entered under the protection of UNESCO; The Blue Eye Natural Park; the fascinating old village of Qeparo, and enjoy free time on the lovely Himara beaches.

Further on, you visit Përmet (known as the City of Roses), and we'll pass by Tepelena, with a visit of Ali Pasha Tepelena Castle.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Albania

Stop At: Tirana International Airport, Rruga Regjimentit 33, Nikël Tirana, 1504, Albania
Upon your arrival we will depart towards Tirana, take a two hour break, and enjoy free time exploring the city.

Time spent in Tirana, depends on the time of your arrival that day.

Day 2: Visit The City of Berat

Stop At: Berat Castle, Rruga Mihal Komnena, Berat 5001 Albania
On this tour you will explore The Berat Castle, The Onufri Museum,

St. Mary’s’ Church, The old neighborhood - Mangalem and the Ethnographic Museum.

You will also have 3 hours of free time, to explore the area.

Day 3: Gjirokastra & The Blue Eye

Stop At: Gjirokaster Castle, Gjirokaster Albania
On this tour you will explore The Castle of Gjirokastra, The Ethnographic Museum (House of E.Hoxha) and The Museum house of Ismail Kadare.

You will also have an hour of free time to explore the area.

Stop At: The Blue Eye, Vlore 9706 Albania
On this tour you will explore The National Park of “Blue Eye.”

It’s a very picturesque area where crystal – clear water gushes out from within the mountain Mali i Gjërë. This actual spring is the largest and a most interesting source, among the other 18 springs that flow from Mali i Gjërë.

It has been declared a natural monument and holds an oval shape similar to the shape of an eye. The spring has great depth, which goes up to 50m, and is surrounded by dense and lush vegetation.

All in all, the area offers a great time out for adults, as well as for children.

Day 4: The Ancient City of Butrint & Ksamil

Stop At: Butrint National Park, SH81, Butrint Albania
On this tour you will explore the Ancient Site of Butrint.

The Ancient Site of Butrint was declared a museum town in 1961, thereafter in the year of 1992, it was inscribed on the National Heritage list of protected monuments, under protection of UNESCO. During the tour you will see the well- preserved Greek / Roman theater in honor of Asclepius (God of Medicine), the Byzantine Basilica, the museum within the castle, and many other antique objects.

Stop At: Ksamil, Ksamil, Saranda, Vlore County
On this tour you will make a stop in Ksamil, which is one of the most attractive areas of southern Albania.

Blessed with its small little islands, in a distance not too far off shore, Ksamil it truly is the pearl of the Ionian Sea and a destination that everyone dreams of as a vacation.

Day 5: Përmet & Tepelenë

Stop At: Benja Thermal Baths, Near The Stonebridge, Permet Albania
On our tour, you will visit the bridge of Kati, and the Benja Thermal Baths that have curative effects.

At a distance of 200m, from the thermal baths you will also find a magnificent view of Langarica Canyon.

In addition, you will have an hour of free time to explore Permet. Also, 1 hour at the Waterfalls of Tepelene.

Day 6: Qeparo & Himara

Stop At: Porto Palermo Castle, Himare Albania
On your tour you will explore the Old Village of Qeparo,The Castle of Porto Palermo, and spend 30 minutes at the Borsh Waterfall.
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Stop At: Jale Beach, Rruga Jali, Himare Albania
On your tour you will have time to enjoy the beaches of Himare.

The Himare region is characterized by its mountainous surroundings and hills which descend directly into the crystal-clear sea.

The region has a Mediterranean climate and it is well known as a most attractive point of tourism.
