7 Days Classic Lodge Safari in Tanzania

A safari is a journey. This is the meaning of the word in Swahili, the language of East Africa. Your journey into Africa starts with Aardvark Expeditions Limited. When you join us on safari you will be met at the airport, taken to a hotel or a central meeting point and briefed before you set off. You will be transported in a well-maintained, clean Toyota 4×4 safari vehicle, driven by a professional local guide in areas that will leave you breathless with wonder and excitement.

You will search for the ‘Big Five’ - buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhino - and will be amazed by the sheer beauty of grass-covered savannas, extinct volcanoes and rare birds. You will see animals, landscapes and flowers and you will meet the local people and taste local food.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at JRO/Arusha:

Stop At: Aardvark Expeditions Limited, Swahili St, Arusha 027 Tanzania
Meet and assist at the airport & after going through Immigration, Baggage Claim and Customs, Transfer to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa to overnight on Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park:

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
Depart for Tarangire N. Park at 08:30. As you enter the park, your guide will open up the roof for your better viewing experience. The park is home to the largest elephant herds in the north of Tanzania. In the afternoon drive to Maramboi Luxury Tented Camp to overnight on Full Board basis.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park:

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
Depart for Serengeti National Park with an optional visit Maasai Village or Olduvai Gorge, The park lies in the north of the country, bordered to the north by the national Tanzania and Kenyan border, where it is continuous with the Maasai Mara National Park Reserve. Overnight at Mawe Luxury Tented Lodge on Full Board basis.

Day 4: Full Day at Serengeti National Park: 

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will begin the Sunrise game drive in order to search for nocturnal predators returning from the hunt you can drive towards the central of Serengeti N. Park where you can probably see big cats. Stay overnight at Mawe Luxury Tented Lodge on Full Board basis.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority:

Stop At: Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
Wake ups call at 6:00 am and then proceed for an early morning game drive, this morning game drive is very important as you will be able to witness the early morning kills from the big five only if you will be lucky enough. Later, you'll drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge - overlooking the crater floor!

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour:

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Descend the Ngorongoro Crater at 07:00. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to Savannah. Here the wildlife is just breath-taking and with a little luck you can observe the “Big Five” - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard - in just a few hours. After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch, after lunch, you will drive to Bougainvillea Safari Lodge to overnight on Full Board basis.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park & then Drive Back to Arusha:

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
Depart for Lake Manyara National Park for game drive. It is said to be the "loveliest (lake) ... in Africa," Lake Manyara is covering 127 square miles (329 km2) of Lake Manyara National Park, the lake's alkaline waters cover approximately 89 square miles (231 km2). In the afternoon drive to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa to overnight on Bed and Breakfast basis.
