From the majestic Taj Mahal in Agra to the fascinating abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri, this golden land beckons with the mystery and complex cultural drama of India. During your private 7 day excursion, you will see a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites as well as the Ranthambore National Park. The park was once the former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Today, Ranthambore National Park is a wildlife sanctuary for many animals including leopards and the famous Bengal tigers. Your game drives will give you a great first hand experience of this natural sanctuary.

Day 1 - Arrive Delhi

Welcome to India’s capital city! Upon arrival, you will be met and escorted to your hotel. Overnight stay: Hotel Rock Land (Standard)  

Day 2 - Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Old and New Delhi. The morning begins with the historic Red Fort, Raj Ghat and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar of Old Delhi. The afternoon is dedicated to New Delhi and the Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar, Birla Temple, and a drive along Rajpath.

Day 3 - Delhi / Agra Sightseeing.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Agra (about 4-5 hours). Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, you will have a half day sightseeing tour of Agra.  This will include a visit to the Agra Fort followed by a visit to the Taj Mahal for a sunset view.

Day 4 - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Ranthambore

In the morning, drive to Ranthambore National Park.  Enroute, visit Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city built by Emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son. The audience halls, palaces and mosques are still in a state of perfection. Upon arrival in Ranthambore, check into your hotel.

Day 5 - Ranthambhore Game Drive (Morning & Afternoon)

Ranthambhore is one of the few preserves where the nocturnal camera-shy tigers may be seen in daylight. Almost hunted to extinction by the local royalty and their British overlords, the population of Bengal tigers is slowly increasing, a result of the efforts of “Project Tiger” and the World Wildlife Fund. You will have two games drives, one in the morning and one on the evening to look for wildlife.

Day 6 - Ranthambhore Morning Game Drive / Jaipur

Leave for another game drive this morning. In the afternoon, check out of your hotel and you will be driven to Jaipur. This historic city is surrounded by a massive wall pierced by magnificent gateways. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Day 7 - Jaipur Sightseeing

Visit the mountain fortress of Amber where you will be ascending to the fort by jeep. Amber Fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture with its complex of palaces, temples and ornate apartments. During your city tour of Jaipur, you will visit Hawa Mahal, City Palace and the ancient observatory, Jantar Mantar.

Day 8 - Jaipur / Delhi

After breakfast, you will be driven back to New Delhi. (about 5 hours)  (B)
