8-Day Land-based Trip in Galápagos exploring 5 Islands/Low budget

An 8-day program you will experience the highlights of the Galapagos Islands, you can choose hotels class according to your requirements. Swim alongside colorful fishes, sea urchins and starfish while snorkeling. You might even spot some sharks! The volcanic islands are also home to the Giant Tortoises. See these amazing reptiles as well as other creatures, including blue-footed boobies, Galapagos sea lions, penguins, marine iguanas and frigate birds in their natural habitat. Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer + Tijeretas & Carola Beach

Stop At: Cerro Tijeretas, Port Baquerizo Moreno, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Ecuador
Pick-up at the airport. Lunch. Frigate bird hill, you have a beautiful view over the island.

Stop At: Playa Punta Carola, Path to Playa Carola, s/n Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, 120506 Ecuador
Snorkel the shallow waters of Tijeretas/Carola beach, see sea lions, fishes, and turtles. Carola beach from where you will go back to the hotel. Freetime

Day 2: Lobos Island

Stop At: Isla Lobos, San Cristobal Island, Galapagos, 120506 Ecuador
Home to a large sea lion colony. During the hike (blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas and frigate birds), snorkeling (marine iguanas eating, rays, turtles in the sandy bottom that separates Lobos Island from the mainland of San Cristobal) Playa Ochoa. and free time

Day 3: Kicker Rock

Stop At: Kicker Rock, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Ecuador
Leon Dormido, a volcanic formation. Snorkel with sharks, rays, turtles. Lunch on the boat. Go to a pristine beach and relax. Back at the port. Freetime. Watch the sunset on Playa Mann

Day 4: El Chato + Garrapatero Beach

Stop At: Reserva El Chato, Isla Santa Cruz, Puerto Ayora 200350 Ecuador
At 6:30 pick you up and take you to the harbor 7:00 speedboat to Santa Cruz (approx. 2-hour ride). A local guide will receive you at the harbor. Drive to a Ranch in the highlands to see giant tortoises in their native environment!

Stop At: El Garrapatero, NE of Puerto Ayora 19 km, Puerto Ayora 200350 Ecuador
A 30-minute car ride from Puerto Ayora through the highlands, plus a 15-minute walk, brings you to this beautiful beach. It has tidal pools that are good for exploring and snorkeling on calm days, and a lagoon with flamingos, white-cheeked ducks and black-necked stilts

Day 5: FREE DAY to explore Puerto Ayora

Stop At: Malecon de Puerto Ayora, Ave Charles Darwin, Puerto Ayora 200350 Ecuador
Spend a day at the beach Playa de Los Alemanes or simply relax in the town

Day 6: Sierra Negra Volcano

Stop At: Sierra Negra, Ecuador
Pick you up at the hotel, (shared speed boat at 7:00 am to Isabela approx. 2-hour ride). Check-in. Walk through spectacular lava landscapes and have views of the northern volcanoes of Isabela and Fernandina. Hike to the Sierra Negra Volcano and Volcano Chico 16 km long (approx. 6 hours). You see the second largest volcanic crater in the world and explore different vegetation zones. Box lunch. Freetime

Day 7: Cabo Rosa Tuneles + Speed boat to Santa Cruz

Stop At: Los Tuneles, Puerto Villamil 200250 Ecuador
The tour starts either at 7:30 or 10:30 am from your hotel of stay in Puerto Villamil, Isabela. The first stop is Roca Union a small islet located in the open sea where you can catch sight of pelicans, blue-footed boobies and Nazca Boobies and, occasionally, sea lions resting on the rocks. Finados snorkeling site is the next stop, where you can swim next to sea turtles, white-tipped sharks (endemic to the islands), trumpetfish and surgeonfish. With some luck, eagle and golden rays will come to this site too. Getting to Los Tuneles will take around 1 ½ – 2 hrs. Once there, the speedboat will navigate through various spots in and around the Lava Tunnels. Here you get the chance to do some more snorkeling and enjoy some short walks while observing the landscape and wildlife inhabiting the area. A box lunch will be provided at midday. Return time to Puerto Villamil is estimated at around 3:00 PM. Wildlife to see Galapagos Sea Lions, Marine iguanas, Lava lizards, Seahorses, Zayapas, Sharks, Killer Whales (not frequently), tropical birds, blue-footed boobies, Nazca Booby, Brown pelicans, Cactus finches.

Day 8: Transfer to Baltra Airport

Stop At: North Seymour Island, Ecuador
At 5:30 am pick you up at your hotel and go to the pier, take the shared speed boat to Santa Cruz. Your driver will bring you to the Itabaca Channel, which you will cross on a ferry, flight does not depart before 12:30 pm
