A Glimpse of Mount Everest, the trek upto Tengboche Monastery via Lukla & Namche

This Glimpse of Everest Trek is comparatively easy one to some of other treks in Everest Region. The trek takes you up to Tengboche Monastery (3850m) through Namche Bazar; the gateway to Everest Base Camp. Although, it is a short trek, offers very scenic trek giving you a really superb view of the world's highest peaks, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Amadablam and other many snowy peaks.

This trek definitely gives a great introduction to Sherpa country and its culture along with fine mountain views. During trekking, you really find the area as a very popular destination for first time trekkers in Nepal. The trek is the best suited especially for those people who haven't enough time for longer treks into the high mountains.

Your adventure starts after taking a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla in the morning. It's a 9 night / 10 day tour; meaning you will spend 6 nights in the mountain zone and 3 nights in Kathmandu. You will be accompanied by a friendly English speaking guide and 1 shared porter for 2 persons for carrying your trekking stuffs.

In Kathmandu your accommodation will be provided at Kathmandu Suite Home or similar category of hotel (breakfast is included) and accommodation during the trek will be provided at lodges / guesthouses (Breakfast, lunch and dinner with a cup of tea / coffee in each meal are provided). Other travel logistics such as flight arrangement to Lukla, trek permits, airport pick up / drop off are included in the trek package.

Outlined Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu; pickup and transfer to hotel

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2800m) and trek to Phakding (2610m)

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazar (3535m)

Day 04: Day excursion in Namche Bazar

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3867m)

Day 06: Return trek to Manjo village

Day 07: Return trek to Lukla

Day 08: Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 09: Spare day in Kathmandu
