The Akosombo dam is a monumental hydro-electric dam built by Ghana's first president in 1965 that provides a majority of the county's electricity. You'll also be able to enjoy lunch with a spectacular view of Lake Volta at the famous Volta Hotel. Then you'll visit the Shai Hills Nature Reserve, one of Ghana's most beautiful nature parks with an incredible diversity of plant and widlife.

Trek through the Savannah plains to view West Africa’s big game: antelopes, bushbucks, krobs, baboons, monkeys, and many bird species including the crested eagle, ground hornbill, blank bellied bustard and more. Visit the Obonu Tem & Se Yo Caves which serve as home to many animals, notably insectivorous bats. Learn about the various artifacts that have been found on this very site (homeland to the Krobo people)
