Itinerary

Day 1: Alcatraz Island

Stop At: Alcatraz Island, Pier 33, San Francisco, CA 94133
Make your own way to Pier 33 in San Francisco to pick up your tickets and embark for the 15-minute ferry ride across the bay to Alcatraz Island. When you land on ‘the Rock,’ receive a brief history of Alcatraz, and then head into the cellblock to learn about the former federal prison, now a national park.

Via the provided audio tour 'Doing Time,' you'll hear interviews from former inmates such as Al Capone (Scarface) and Machine Gun Kelly.

Expect to spend up to 2.5 hours on the self-guided audio tour; you can explore the prison grounds and stay as long as you wish before hopping back on the ferry to return to Pier 33. (Ferry departs approximately every 30 minutes.)

Stop At: Aquarium of the Bay, Embarcadero & Beach St Pier 39, San Francisco, CA 94133
While in Fisherman's Wharf, head over to the Aquarium of the Bay to explore at your leisure and witness the 20,000 marine animals inside.

Day 2: San Francisco to Yosemite National Park

Pass By: San Francisco Bay, San Francisco, CA
Leave San Francisco behind and cross the Bay Bridge, offering amazing views of Alcatraz Island and Angel Island. Cruise through Oakland, the East Bay and on to Central Valley to stop for groceries (own expense). Travel through Gold Country and the Sierra Nevada Foothills

Stop At: Central Valley, California 96080, USA
Travel through California's Central Valley and see where most of California's almonds, figs, corn and more are grown. Here we will make a short stop so you can grab lunch for later and any local produce for hiking snacks. You can also pick up any other needed last-minute supplies for the days ahead.

Pass By: Yosemite National Park, Yosemite National Park, California
Begin with a one and a half hour guided driving tour descending through Yosemite's glaciated valley with its famous waterfalls and rock formations, and stop to take pictures and see the views.

Stop At: Tunnel View, Wawona Road, Yosemite National Park, CA 95389
Make a photo stop at Tunnel View, one of the most famous in the park.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Yosemite Village, Off Northside Dr., Yosemite National Park, CA
Stop for around 3 hours of free time to hike, bike, explore the base of Yosemite Falls or check out the Visitor's Center and Ansel Adam Gallery. Your guide will have tips and advice on how to best spend your precious time in this beautiful location.

After exploring Yosemite Valley, around 3:30pm we will head back to San Francisco. Your guide will make a stop halfway through where you can stop and have dinner. You'll be dropped off at the location you were picked up around 8-9pm.
