Your tour guide will pick you up in your hotels lobby, then heading directly to Shuanglin Temple.

Stop At: Shuanglin Temple, Qiaotou Village, Zhongdu Country, Pingyao County 031100 China

Upon arrival, spend time to explore the UNESCO site of Shuanglin Temple.

Shuanglin Temple is reputed to be the 'ancient painted sculptures museum'. It houses more than 2,000 colorful sculptures reflecting the exquisite skills of the artisans of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The Qiao Family Compound is the former residence of Qiao Zhiyong, the third-generation commercial tycoon of the Qiao family in Shanxi Province. He attained his fortune by running banks, pawnshops and teahouses.

The entire courtyard consists 6 main courtyards and 20 smaller ones, with 313 rooms altogether. Follow your tour guide to go up to the pavilion where you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the entire complex.

Then, stroll around the halls and courtyards with your tour guide to enjoy fine Qing Dynasty style architecture and amazing brick carvings. The carvings were based on figures, allusions, flowers and plants, birds, beast, chess, and painting and calligraphy.
