Longji village is home to the Zhuang and Yao people, who live in the traditional stockade wooden buildings.Standing at the wooden building, tourists can appreciate the sunset, clouds and fogs, taste mellow wine, watch the bamboo pole dance performed by villagers, and take pictures of the fascinating scenery.

Your guide and driver will pick you up at 8:30am by your centrally located hotel from Guilin city or Yangshuo town. It takes about 2 hours drive from Guilin city to Rice terraces. Or it takes 3.5hours from Yangshuo town to Rice terraces. The rice terraces are build on the hillside, looking like ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the mountain. The rice terraces were first built in the Yuan Dynasty and were completed in the Qing Dynasty by the Zhuang people and Yao people, dating back over 650 years ago. Here you can experience Zhuang people’s original lifestyle. Also, you may come across the local customs of Long hair combing( It is a way women comb their hair).Besides, you can enjoy the simple living rooms in the Zhuang villages, tasting Longji tea and Longji rice wine. The wine is similar to sake ,but still has unfiltered grains of sticky rice in it.

The fantastic scenery of Longji Terraced Fields is favored by visitors and photographers both at home and abroad. And the scenery is always gorgeous no matter in what seasons. In spring, the water is irrigated into the fields and it looks like layers and layers of silvery ribbons and when the summer comes it turns out green waves rushing continuously down the mountainside from the heaven. The autumn is the harvest season for the peasants and also the golden season decorating the entire terraces with the gold hues of ripened rice. When it is in Winter, white snow covers all over the terraced fields which seem like the dragons are playing with water.

We will transfer you back to your hotel in Guilin city or Yangshuo town.
