Amboro National Park Overnight Tour from Santa Cruz

This 2-day private tour takes you to one of the most beautiful areas of Bolivia: the southern side of Amboro National Park. Stay overnight at the Refugio Los Volcanes Lodge. A personalized itinerary lets you explore the pristine forests where you can swim under waterfalls, hike through the jungle, go birdwatching, and look for wildlife from monkeys to Andean condors. Round-trip transport is provided from Santa Cruz.

Day 1: Santa Cruz – Amboro National Park (L, D)

Start with hotel pickup in Santa Cruz and depart by private vehicle to Refugio Los Volcanes. The scenic drive will take around 3 hours, depending on traffic. Incredible photo opportunities await upon arrival at a lookout point, where you'll change vehicles and drive 20 minutes further down the valley to the lodge.

Check in to your room and get an orientation to the area before visiting some waterfalls and swimming in the natural pools. Lunch with juice will be provided, followed by 1.5 hours of free time.

In the afternoon, embark on a 2-hour guided trek into the forest, searching for birds and other wildlife while exploring the gorgeous scenery of the region. You'll return to the lodge for a rest before dinner is served. Afterward, you can take a 1-hour night walk with your guide pointing out any nocturnal species.

Day 2: Amboro National Park – Santa Cruz (B, L)

Start with breakfast and an early morning hike into the jungle, again looking out for regional wildlife and exploring the incredible landscape. After a midday lunch, hike for 1.5 hours to some spectacular waterfalls where you can swim and take photos of your natural surroundings.

Returning to the lodge to pack up your belongings for your departure, you'll meet your private transport vehicle and grab any final photo ops at the lookout point of Refugio Los Volcanes. Your 2-day excursion concludes with hotel drop-off in Santa Cruz in the evening.
