Cosmos museum in Zhytomyr is one of the best of its kind in the world. It was opened in 1987 next to memorial house of Sergyi Korolyov – the inventor of the engine and rocket that took Gagarin in to the space. The exhibition contains many originals, including landing capsules of soviet astronauts, their space food, suites, photos etc. There temporary exhibitions as well.

Stop At: Korostyshiv Mines, Korostyshiv Ukraine

Korostyshiv granite quarry is both natural and artificial attraction. This quarry is known from 1850 and black labradorite was mined here in 1920s here for Lenin mausoleum in Moscow. Since 1990s the quarry is closed and filled with water that is very deep (up to 20 meters) and clean here. The walls of the quarry are very steep and covered with picturesque pines.
