Atlas Mountains & Berber Villages 3 Day Trekking Excursion from Marrakech

This is a multi-day trek around the Atlas Mountains' Valleys and Berber villages. During the guided hike you will have chances to witness breathtaking landscapes and stay overnight with a Berber family in the remote villages perched high in the hills. Spend your time exploring the High Atlas Mountains by mule and on foot. A walk amidst cool vegetation of juniper and pine trees is a perfect way to unwind and to enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Family friendly led by two persons the whole time, a specialist local Mountain Guide and a Mule driver.  Overnight stays in a Berber Village with a local Berber family.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakesh - Tizi Oudid (2000m) - Tizi Oussem (1800m) - Azib Tamsoult Refuge

Stop At: High Atlas Mountains, 40000 Morocco
You will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakesh and driven to the High Atlas Mountains. Drop of will be at Aguersioual to meet-up with the local team that will lead you during this part of your trek. Walk uphill via a dirt road via Matat village and up toward Tizi Oudid Pass at 2000m from there you will have amazing views over the Azzaden and Imlil Valleys. Hike down passing through the Berber Village Id Aissa. After lunch hike back uphill to your final destination of the day, Azib Tamsoult a peacefull calm place in a very remote area. There to visit a nearby Waterfall.

Overnight with a Berber family at their comfortable house in the village.

Day 2: Azib Tamsoult (2250m) - Tizi n'Tzikert Pass (2930m) - Aremd Village (1900m)

Stop At: High Atlas Mountains, 40000 Morocco
Azib Tamsoult (2250m) - Tizi n'Tzikert Pass (2930m) - Aremd Village (1900m) Today you will be walking uphill through forests toward Tizi n'Tzikert Pass from where you will get wonderful views over Azzaden Valley and the different colors of the mountains. You can view Mount Toubkal as well from there. Afterward hike down toward Armed Village.

Overnight with a Berber family at their comfortable house in the village.

Day 3: Aremed Village (1900m) - Imlil (1740m) - Marrakech

After breakfast a stroll down to Imlil Village where you will have time to do some local shopping and take lunch with a Berber family before being picked up and driven back to Marrakech.
