3 hr. guided tour of culture, walking and tasting in Casco Viejo (Old Town). A passionate & knowledgeable local guide will take you through historic Panama and for an afternoon snack of Ceviche that could be the envy of all your friends. Great opportunity to exercise and gain knowledge about Panama's history, architecture and culture. Nice size group of people (max. 20).

THE FOOD:
Panamanian Ceviche paired with Yuca (Cassava), Patacones (Smashed Plantains) or perhaps Saltine Crackers.

DRINKS:

END OF TRIP:

At the Plaza de Francia you will find Las Bovedas and the Estaban Huerta Promenade. Las Bovedas are the Vaults that surrounded and protected the Old Town from being invaded at the time by pirates at the time. In this area you will have an opportunity to purchase those special souvenirs to take back with you. Here you can purchase leather goods, Molas and handcrafts from artisans.

Time-tested remains of a church built by Dominican friars featuring an iconic stone archway.

Stop At: Iglesia de San Jose - Altar de Oro, Panama City, Panama

This Casco Viejo church protects the famous Altar de Oro (Golden Altar), the sole relic salvaged after privateer Henry Morgan sacked Panamá Viejo. ... According to local legend, when word came of Morgan’s impending attack, a priest attempted to disguise the altar by painting it black.

Stop At: Palacio de las Garzas, Palacio de Las Garzas, Panama City Panama

The Palacio de las Garzas (Herons' Palace) is the governmental office and residence of the President of Panama. It receives its name because of herons roaming freely in the courtyard. The herons were first brought to the building in 1922, by former president Belisario Porras.

This will be an opportunity to experience Panama's taste of coffee, chocolate and teas on your own. While here in Panama, go ahead and ask the barista about our world re-known Geisha Coffee. The world's most expensive cup of coffee (sorry, these are not included in tour pricing).
