Stop At: Bahrain National Museum, Al Fatih Highway, Manama Bahrain

Bahrain National Museum: One of the first museums in the Gulf, the Bahrain National Museum opened in 1988. The site itself, on the edge of the sea, is a tremendous attraction, adding to its contemporary ambience which is influenced by the white travertine façade and dramatic courtyard decorated with contemporary

sculptures. The exhibition halls showcase artefacts uncovered in the numerous archaeological sites in Bahrain and underpinning the longstanding history of the island. The rich collection covers 6000 years of Bahrain’s history. In addition to the archaeological exhibits, two halls are dedicated to local customs and traditions, featuring clothing, housing, rituals and traditional crafts.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Al-Fatih Mosque (Great Mosque), Al Fatih Highway, Manama Bahrain

Ahmed Al Fateh Grand Mosque: Set against a backdrop of palm trees and the sea, the Grand Mosque strikes a beautiful picture. With its exquisite Bahraini architecture, crowned by the world's largest fiberglass dome and blessed with tranquility reserved for the holiest of holy places, the Grand Mosque truly lives up to its name. Though non-Muslim visitors are welcome, it is important to dress modestly, cover your head (for women) and take your shoes off before entering.

Stop At: Beit Al Qur'an, Road No.1901 Building No.17, Manama Bahrain

Bait Al Quran: Housing one of the world’s most treasured possessions. The Museum here has ten exhibition halls that offer a glimpse of rare books, manuscripts and other religious motifs. There are also manuscripts from nonIslamic countries including China and Spain, apart from those of Islamic nations. Calligraphy, which forms a vital part of Islamic culture, is also represented here

through works of master calligraphers.

King Fahad Causeway: Opened in 1986, this remarkable 25km
