BASKET BOAT RIDE AND COOKING CLASS

You will have a chance to discover villages in Hoi An countryside.

The first one, Cam Thanh village is about 4ha, during the Vietnam war this was the shelter for liberation troops and nowadays this place is famous for providing seafood for Hoi an city.

The 2nd one, Tra Que herb garden, where you can see how local plant corianders, mint, basil...and learn to be a famer, make rice pank cake...

Itinerary:

- Picked up by our guide at your hotel, ride bicycle to Cam Thanh Water coconut village, have a brief introduction about the place.
- Take basket boat rowing along the water coconut river, Fisherman will teach you how to catch crabs (02 pax/ boat)
- Continue to ride bicycles to Tra Que Village. Ride water buffalo on river, rice paddy
- Walk around the vegetable village and join in the daily activities with local farmer there.
- Learn how to make rice pan cakes. Enjoy lunch be served special local foods …
- End tour, back hotel

Stop At: Bay Mau Coconut Forest, Cam Thanh Village, Hoi An Vietnam

Bay Mau Water coconut palm village is about 5km away from Hoi An Ancient town. This place is a relic of the film revolutionary base during the civil war between US army and Hoi An people. You are welcomed by the local people, they will lead you to visit the palm village by basket boats, you will be instructed to fish crabs, net casting and enjoy the performances of rowing basket boats by the local rowers…

Stop At: Tra Que Vegetable Village, Cam Ha Commune, Hoi An 560000 Vietnam

Tra Que is a small village located 3km north of Hoi An’s Old Town. Its location is between De Vong River and Tra Que alga pond. Thanks to the special condition of rich soil and water, the village has long been known for growing many kinds of vegetables: lettuce, salad, houttuynia, flagrant knoutwed, basil and coriander vegetables etc, with which the traditional specialities of Hoi An have gained part of their fame. The village is named after the sweet scented vegetables that spice up the everyday meals of the Hoi An people.
