Berlin Shopping & History Shore Excursion from Warnemünde and Rostock Port

Treat yourself to a day of exploring the art and fashion of Berlin and shopping at the most famous department stores in Europe! On our shopping tour you get the best of both worlds. The tour starts with a brief overview and drive-by of the main historical sites but after that the bulk of time is spent on discovering the most fashionable districts of the city. 

This shore excursion is adjusted to each ship’s docking times and starts promptly after your vessel’s arrival, returning with plenty of time to spare before its departure. Our expert team has been organizing these tours for nearly a decade. We have never missed a cruise ship’s departure and imparted our knowledge and enthusiasm for our unique and beautiful city to thousands of satisfied passengers!

You can choose between a private and a semi-private tour.

The private tour includes a private vehicle just for your group for the entire duration of 12 hours and a private tour guide in Berlin for 6 hours.

The semi-private tour includes shared bus transportation to Berlin and back, but whilst in Berlin you will have your own private vehicle, driver and tour guide for the entire duration of the tour (approximately 5-6 hours).

Your time in Berlin will be spent the exact same way whether you choose the private or semi-private tour.

This tour starts directly in front of the cruise terminal. We will meet you at your ship and bring you to Berlin in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. In Berlin you will be joined by one of our professional local guides and taken on a tour of the city. At the end of the day, you will be brought back to your ship. 

In Berlin the tour begins at the Charlottenburg Palace where you will meet your guide and be given an introduction to the city. From here you will drive down the Kurfürstendamm to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church. Here you will get out and walk to the Kaufhaus des Westens or KaDeWe for some free time in continental Europe’s largest and most exclusive department store.

Next we will head to East Berlin with the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate where the historical portion of the tour will begin.  You will see the new government quarter as well as the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe on our drive down to the Berlin Wall. The entire historical heart of Berlin has been rebuilt over the past decade and is now one of the most beautiful parts of the city. You will see Gendamenmarkt, Bebelplatz and Unter den Linden on your way to the Unesco World Heritage Site of Museum Island. After the historical part of tour is over you will be brought to the main shopping district of pre-war Berlin – Friedrichstr. Here you will have some free time at the world famous Parisian department store, the Gallery Lafayette.

Berlin’s former Jewish neighborhood has in recent years become the art and fashion district with beautiful courtyards, and fashionable boutiques as well as art galleries galore.  Our guide will show you around some of the nicest areas here and give you some free time as well.  At the end of a long day of shopping you and all your purchases will get back in your vehicle and be whisked in comfort back to your ship.

On our private tour we will custom tailor your visit to your exact specifications. You can make all the decisions where to stop and where to spend your time. It is hands down the most flexible way to see the German capital. We can also organize tickets for and/or private tours of museums, palaces or galleries upon request.
